InstiQ ("we", "our", or "us") is a cloud-based institute management platform available via the InstiQ mobile application. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.

We collect the following categories of information when you use InstiQ:
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and role (admin, teacher, student, or parent) provided during registration.
- Institute information: Institute name, type, address, and configuration details entered by administrators.
- Academic data: Attendance records, assignment submissions, exam results, and timetable data created within the app.
- Payment information: Subscription plan selections and billing records. Payment transactions are processed by our payment provider and we do not store full card or bank details.
- Device and usage data: Device type, operating system, app version, and usage logs collected automatically to improve service quality.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the InstiQ platform
- Process payments and manage subscription billing
- Send notifications, alerts, and academic updates within the app
- Respond to support requests and resolve technical issues
- Improve app features and user experience through usage analytics

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:
- Within your institute: Admins can view data for users enrolled in their institute. Teachers see data for their assigned classes. Parents see data for their linked children only.
- Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for database and authentication, and a payment processor for billing. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase authentication with secure token management, and role-based access controls so users only access data relevant to their role.
7. Children's Privacy
InstiQ is used in educational settings and may contain data about students who are minors. Student data is accessible only to authorised administrators, teachers, and parents linked to that student. We do not use student data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to providing the educational service.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to processing of your data
